Cardlock Fueling FAQ

Cardlock fueling stations are designed with large commercial vehicles in mind to allow more space and ease of access for drivers.

Cardlock fueling sites can be accessed 24/7/365 through an automated, unmanned system.

Since Cardlock stations are only available for commercial customers, they are less congested at the pump. This means less down time as drivers wait to refuel.

Cardlocks are a more cost-effective fueling solution than retail stations. In some instances, you may pay less per gallon at a Cardlock location and others you may pay more depending on the market prices.

The true savings with a cardlock station comes from the amount of time saved. For instance, during peak fueling times (morning and afternoon) drivers with a 20-gallon tank may wait 10 minutes in line at a retail station and then spend an additional 10 minutes fueling and paying for fuel (not to mention grabbing refreshments at the store).

If the retail station was $.15 less than a card lock location, you would save $3 in fuel costs. However, the average fueling time for most vehicles at a Cardlock Station is 5 minutes, 15 minutes less than a traditional retail station. A driver making $25/h cost your company an $8.25 for the time spent filling up. This means the retail station actually cost you $5.25 more for that fill up over a cardlock station.

Fuel availability can vary from station to station. Most Cardlock location carry the following available 24/7/365:

• Unleaded Gasoline 87 / 89 / 91
• Clear and Red Diesel Fuels
• Diesel Exhaust Fuel (DEF)

In addition to the 27 Ramos Cardlock locations, you fleet will have nationwide access to 55,000 Commercial Fueling Network (CFN) locations and access to over 180,000 Pacific Pride Network and Wright Express locations throughout the United States and Canada.

Applying for a Ramos Cardlock account is easy, simply complete these forms, or call one of our friendly sales team members at 1 (800) 477-7266 who will walk you through the full application process.

After receiving your completed application, approving and setting up your new Ramos Cardlock account usually takes between 5-7 days. Once approved we make every effort to deliver your new card as quickly as possible.

No matter if you have a few drivers or a full fleet of vehicles, we have you covered! Just let us know how many fuel cards you need, and we will get you taken care of.

You can assign each card to a specific driver or to a specific vehicle to monitor your fleet’s fuel use.

No. With the Ramos Cardlock account there is no monthly or annual card or service fee.

You have a few options to pay your monthly bill:

1. Login to your Ramos Oil Bill Pay Account
2. Make a payment at our main office located in West Sacramento at 1515 South River Rd with either cash, check, or credit card.
